Installation : inkjet prints on cotton paper glued to the wall

Variable dimensions

At first, a found photograph, enigmatic and fascinating in many respects: the mise en abyme of the photographic process, the awareness of the out of frame and of the viewer’s presence through the gaze of both characters, a sense of familiarity... Everything seems to happen as though the little girl is looking towards a distant future, adressing herself to us across the depths of time, whereas the photographer is turned towards the past, which is also the past of the image. For these reasons, it seems that this picture could belong to the future perfect tense, as it seemed to recount in a metaphorical way the essence and fate of photography...

By showing some kind of imaginary counter-shot to the original print - because the setting remains identical – this triple-sided image responds to the fantasy of penetrating within a photograph to bend its space and time.
